The Disaster Recovery Manager works to ensure that Information Services Division
can promptly and effectively recover both its business and Information
Technology processes in the event of an emergency.
Internal ISD COOP Planning
ISD leverages best practices from the Federal Government’s Continuity
Of OPerations (COOP) model to provide:
- continued performance of essential ISD functions,
- clearly identify succession to office of key ISD leadership,
- mitigate disruptions to ISD operations,
- protect essential ISD assets and
- achieve timely ISD recovery.
Customer Disaster Recovery Services (Information Technology Processes)
In addition to providing the technology infrastructure for itself, ISD also
services Open System and Mainframe operations for State Agencies, Boards and
Commissions. For over 20 years, ISD has strived to improve its DR strategy using
the latest technology to reduce recovery time.
DR Solution for Mainframe
Our Mainframe DR solution is included in the cost for hosting applications in
our environment. Some of the services provided are:

DR Solution for Open System platform
Open System DR Solutions are provided using an ADOA managed remote facility
capable of supporting customer IT hardware (network, storage and server). ADOA
services for Open System DR solutions can be customized to fit customer’s needs
and budget. We offer:

ISD works closely with the Department of Emergency & Military Affairs (DEMA)
Division of Emergency Management to ensure adherence to policies and standards
for both COOP and DR planning. The State Continuity of Operation Programs Group
offers technical assistance and training for the development of organization's
COOP programs.
